INSTRUCTORS:
Deborah Fields Perez: (Pictured on bottom right) is the Founder of By Your Side Productions and one of the most sought after dancers and choreographers in the United States. Due to her love for choreography, she also serves as Los Angeles' leading Wedding Dance Specialist. Deborah has over twenty years experience as an instructor and competitor competing in National Dance Championships across the country. Deborah trained with dance greats such as Patrick and Wendy Johnson, Rufus Dustin, Ron Montez, Rick Valenzuela, Terry Leone, Tony Meredith and Melanie LaPatin. As a sideline special skill, Deborah also has a background in theatrical weaponry and has trained many of Hollywood's stuntmen for movie scenes! Deborah is also a coveted member of the International Dance Counsel - CID and listed on the International List of Who's Who in Dancing . Deborah has appeared and choreographed in numerous television, films, music videos & stage productions. Her latest television appearance was on "The Bachelor." Deborah now dances professionally with Craig Morris and owns the By Your Side Productions dance company.
Michael Espinosa: Michael has been dancing 27 years & was initially trained by Ken & Sheila Sloan & Jill Morton Erwin as a competitor in the International Ballroom dance arena. Dancing & teaching Argentine Tango since 1986, Michael has taken instruction from some of the most renowned Argentine dancers. He has been primarily dedicated to the incomparable styles of two tango masters, now deceased, Orlando Paiva Sr. and Carlos Gavito. Michael trained with Orlando from 1986 to 1988 when Orlando went back to live in Rossario, Argentina. Michael has been seen in various shows including "Tango Splash," "Romancing the Tango," "Cabaret Tango," "Luminarious Tango Glamour Night," "Julio Iglesias CD Promotional Tour" just to name a few.
Mo Jones: With extensive training in jazz, ballet, hip hop/funk, tap, swing and lindy hop, MO has been dancing for over 25 years and has over 15 years teaching experience. He's also a gymnast and a Black-Belt in Okinawan Karate. During the summer of 1999, he toured Europe and Canada with the Smithsonian Orchestra in performances and Jazz Festivals honoring the Centennial of Duke Ellington's Birth. Robbie Cox: Robbie Cox has trained with some of the top coaches across the nation. He has also had the priviledge of
competing with his students in the Pro/Am competitions across the United States. Participation the Jacksonville, Florida's
Dancing With The Stars event, he helped raise $16,000 for the American Cancer Society making strides against
breast cancer. "I am extremely blessed to be able to use my talent to give back to others in need," says Robbie. On the dance floor, Robbie is known for making dancers, whether beginner or advanced, feel comfortable right away, all while challenging them to be their best! He has a true passion for sharing his skills and knowledge with others so they too can experience the joy of dancing.
Michael Butler: Michael attended Radford University in Virginia, where he studied Business Administration and Fine Arts. He later decided he wanted to share his gifts and talents with the world. Michael combined his entrepreneural spirit and passion for dance and founded A Step In Time Dance Studio, Inc. Michael has subsequently traveled to major dance markets, including Atlanta and Los Angeles, where he continued to enhance and refine his artistic talents. His dance and acting abilities recently received national recognition. He was featured in the 2007 film Stomp the Yard with nationally acclaimed actors and hip-hop artists including Chris Brown, NE-YO, Columbus Short, Meagan Good, Harry J. Lennix, and others.
Craig Morris: Craig Morris has been a professional Ballroom and Latin dancer for over 20 years. He is a veteran of National Ballroom Dance Championships all across the country and is board certified in both American and International style dancing as an instructor as well as a judge. He is one of the most sought after dance instructors in the United States. Craig dances professionally with Deborah Fields Perez in theatre arts where they specialize in lifts and drops. He has appeared in numerous films, t.v. commercials, sitcoms and stage productions. Craig currently teaches and trains in Los Angeles and West Hollywood.
